You can also use the notice form, which routes copyright claims to the same place and gives you a reference.
What a complete notice includes
- A link to the exact post on 5TIN, not just a profile.
- A description of the work you say has been infringed, and your rights in it.
- Your name and an email address we can reply to.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
Incomplete notices slow everything down. Deliberately false claims may make you liable for the damage caused.
What we do with a notice
We acknowledge the notice, assess it, and act where the claim appears well-founded — for example by removing or restricting access to the content. The person who posted is told what happened and on what basis, unless we are prevented from telling them.
If you think a removal was wrong
If your content was removed after an infringement claim and you believe the claim is mistaken or that your use was permitted, reply to the notice we sent you or write to the copyright contact above, explaining why. We will reassess. We may pass your response to the person who complained, and copyright disputes ultimately belong in court rather than with us.
Repeat infringement
Accounts that repeatedly infringe other people's rights may be restricted, suspended or ended.
Sound and music
5TIN has no built-in music catalogue and provides no licence for third-party music. Only the sound captured or uploaded with your own video is allowed, and you are responsible for having the rights to it.
