Community Guidelines

Post something you would stand behind: a thought, a thing you made, a question you actually want answered, something you want to tell someone, something worth remembering. Respond to people rather than at them. Pass On what deserves a wider audience.

• Content that is unlawful under the law that applies to it.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualisation of minors, in any form.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content shared without the consent of the people in it.
• Threats, incitement to violence, or content that promotes or celebrates serious harm.
• Harassment, targeted abuse, or coordinated pile-ons against a person.
• Hate directed at people because of who they are.
• Content that promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
• Content that encourages or instructs in dangerous acts likely to cause serious injury.
• Terrorist or violent-extremist content, and content that promotes such organisations.
• Sale of illegal goods and services, and instructions for producing weapons or drugs.
• Fraud, scams, phishing, and deceptive financial claims.
• Impersonation of a person, business or organisation.
• Spam, artificially repeated posting, and manipulation of Keeps, follows or reach.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights.
• Sharing someone's private information without their consent.
• Gratuitous gore or shock content posted for its own sake.

You must be at least 18 years old to use 5TIN. That does not make 5TIN a place for pornographic or sexually explicit content, which is not allowed.

Every video is checked automatically before it can be published, and a video is never published until a trusted server-side check confirms it is no longer than 15.00 seconds. Where an automated check is uncertain, a second independent automated pass is used.

Reports about already-published content trigger a separate automated re-check. Automated review is conservative, and it can be wrong in both directions.

Depending on how serious and how repeated the problem is, we may refuse publication, remove or restrict content, limit an account's features, suspend it, or end it. Serious cases — in particular anything involving children — may be reported to the authorities.

When something you posted is not published or is removed, you are told what happened and the policy area involved, and whether automated means were used. Where the decision concerns content assessment rather than a technical failure, you may request one further automated review.

Signed-in users can report a post from the post itself. Anyone can report content they believe is unlawful through the notice form, with no account needed.
